At Corner Space, three paintings on view from a series in which the work searches for something fragile yet powerful. Something that grows for its own sake in the dark chambers of the forest, vital and poisonous at the same time. The paintings move into the dimness heart first, following trails that veer away from the path and lead onward toward clearings and marshes, forest eyes beneath an open sky.

Jenny Carlsson Grip works as if conducting a kind of field study, with hands in the soil and her gaze fixed on the blue of the distance. The brushstrokes and the colours seem to have rested among the trees through an entire season. The ground breathes, and the trunks answer the call of the heart.
